Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier fudge, consider using half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate chips. If you want a nutty flavor, add chopped walnuts or pecans. Make sure to stir continuously after pouring the hot mixture to prevent burning. If you prefer a vegan option, substitute margarine with coconut oil and use vegan chocolate chips.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the fudge into small squares and serve as a delightful dessert. It pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee or a glass of cold milk. For a fun twist, serve it alongside vanilla ice cream or use it as a topping for your favorite cake. You can also gift it in decorative boxes for special occasions.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, keep it in the refrigerator for up to three weeks. To reheat, microwave in short increments, stirring in between, until just softened, then enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different type of chocolate for this fudge?

Absolutely! You can experiment with white chocolate or flavored chocolate chips. Just ensure the total chocolate weight remains similar for the best texture and flavor.

What can I do if my fudge is too soft?

If your fudge turns out too soft, return it to the saucepan, gently heat it, and add a bit more chocolate until it thickens. Stir well, then pour it back into the pan to set again.

How do I know when the fudge is done setting?

The fudge is ready when it has cooled completely and feels firm to the touch. You can also check by inserting a toothpick; it should come out clean. If it's still sticky, give it more time to set.
