Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1/4 cup Kraft oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Kraft barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • hot cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Brown the chicken pieces in oil in a skillet.
  2. Add barbecue sauce, water, and sliced onion. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Add green pepper and drained sliced mushrooms. Continue cooking for 15 minutes.
  4. Serve the skillet mixture hot over cooked rice.
