Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 can (16 oz.) peaches with juice
  • 1 cup sifted self rising flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in an 8-inch square baking pan.
  3. Place peaches with juice in a saucepan and heat until warmed.
  4. In a bowl, combine sifted self-rising flour, sugar, and milk to make the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the baking pan with melted butter without stirring.
  6. Add the heated peaches and juice on top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.
