Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 c. fine cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, mashed garlic, cracker crumbs, milk, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Place the meatballs on baking sheets.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 10 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, mix tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, liquid smoke, garlic salt, onion salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer the sauce for 20 minutes.
  7. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce.
  8. Simmer together for 1 hour.
  9. Serve in a chafing dish.
