Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3 Tbsp uncooked rice
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 can water
  • 2.5 to 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef lightly in a skillet.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until tender.
  3. Stir in the tomato soup, water, and uncooked rice.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the shredded cabbage evenly in a large flat casserole dish.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture over the cabbage without stirring.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 1 to 1.5 hours until cooked through.
