Marinated Steak Salad

Ingredients
- 1 lb. sirloin steak ⓘ
- 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen artichokes ⓘ
- 4 green onions ⓘ
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 10 cherry tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 medium carrot ⓘ
- 1/3 cup olive or salad oil ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. shredded lemon peel ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dried thyme ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram ⓘ
- 4 cups torn salad greens
Instructions
- Slash fat edges of the steak.
- Broil the steak 3 inches from heat for 6 minutes.
- Turn the steak and broil until done (medium 6 to 9 minutes).
- Allow the steak to cool.
- Cut the steak into thin slices.
- Place the sliced steak in a plastic bag in a bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together red wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic salt, black pepper, shredded lemon peel, dried thyme, and dried marjoram to make the marinade.
- Add the artichokes, green onions, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and sliced carrot into the bowl with the steak.
- Pour the marinade over the ingredients and toss gently to combine.
- Arrange the torn salad greens on a serving platter.
- Top the greens with the marinated steak and vegetable mixture.
- Serve immediately or chilled.
