Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted margarine; press into the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and egg until well blended.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle with flaked coconut, semi-sweet chocolate pieces, and sugar mixture.
  6. Press lightly into the surface of the filling.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
