Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 Tbsp. pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Add butter to the beaten egg and mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the egg and butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Drop teaspoons of the batter into boiling broth.
  5. Cover and cook the dumplings for 18 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.
