Fish rolls filled with seasoned stuffing, baked to golden perfection, served with a creamy clam chowder sauce—an elegant yet easy dish perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fish fillets
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1 c. seasoned stuffing
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 can Manhattan clam chowder
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. With paper towels, clean and dry fish fillets.
  2. If the fillets are wide, cut them in half lengthwise.
  3. Combine salt, pepper, and basil.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture on the fish fillets.
  5. Blend the seasoned stuffing, beaten egg, and lemon juice until well combined.
  6. Fill each fish fillet with the stuffing mixture.
  7. Roll up each fillet in jelly roll fashion and fasten with toothpicks.
  8. In a bowl, combine Manhattan clam chowder and sour cream.
  9. Pour the clam chowder mixture over the rolled fish fillets.
  10. Sprinkle with paprika.
  11. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
