Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. unbleached flour
  • coarse sea salt
  • green olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and sugar.
  2. Stir in the flour a little at a time until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured board and knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and let rise until doubled in size, about 30 to 40 minutes.
