Foccacia Bread
Flavorful focaccia bread topped with fresh herbs, vegetables, and cheese, perfect for casual gatherings or a flavorful snack that appeals to all tastes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. frozen bread dough, thawed ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary ⓘ
- 1/2 onion, minced ⓘ
- 1/2 cup prepared pasta sauce ⓘ
- 2 zucchini, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper ⓘ
- 3 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Place the thawed bread dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Flatten the dough slightly and spray with olive oil spray.
- Sprinkle with chopped rosemary and minced onion, then knead well to incorporate.
- Roll out the dough into a 9 x 6-inch rectangle.
- Place the dough on a 12 x 9-inch baking sheet.
- Press out the dough until it fills the pan.
- Spray the top of the bread with olive oil spray.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread prepared pasta sauce over the top.
- Layer sliced zucchini, sliced mushrooms, and chopped red and green bell peppers over the sauce.
- Top with sliced Roma tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake again for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until golden and cooked through.
