Ingredients

  • 3 oz. lemon-flavored gelatin
  • 3 oz. lime-flavored gelatin
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 Tbsp. horseradish sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the lemon-flavored and lime-flavored gelatins in boiling water.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Stir in the evaporated milk, crushed pineapple (with juice), chopped nuts, and horseradish sauce; mix well.
  4. Chill until the mixture is partially set.
  5. Pour into an oiled 8-cup mold.
  6. Chill for 6 hours or overnight.
  7. Unmold the salad and serve on a bed of lettuce leaves.
