Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour or cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Add flour or cornstarch and mix well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Stir in buttermilk, coconut, pecans, and vanilla.
  5. Pour the mixture into a partially baked 9-inch pie crust.
  6. Bake at 325°F until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
