A rich, creamy layered pudding with strawberries, whipped cream, vanilla wafers, and pecans, perfect for a delightful dessert to impress family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 pint whipped cream
  • 1/2 pound vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup pecans, broken
  • 1 package frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, melted butter, and eggs in a bowl.
  2. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Crush the vanilla wafers into crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle half of the wafer crumbs in a greased 7 x 12-inch dish, then pour in the egg mixture over the crumbs.
  5. Spread thawed strawberries over the egg mixture, then fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Top with the remaining wafer crumbs and sprinkle with pecans.
  7. Chill the pudding for several hours or freeze it.
  8. If frozen, remove from freezer and let sit in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
