Ingredients

  • 1 (3 1/4 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling
  • 1 tsp. rum flavoring
  • 12 ladyfingers
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries or strawberries
  • 1 cup chilled whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Prepare pudding as directed on the package for pudding.
  2. Cover the surface of the pudding with plastic wrap while cooling.
  3. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Stir in the rum flavoring.
  5. Split ladyfingers lengthwise and arrange in a 2-quart glass serving bowl.
  6. Line sides and bottom of the bowl with ladyfingers.
  7. Layer pudding, blueberries, and remaining ladyfingers in the bowl.
  8. Beat whipping cream and brown sugar in a chilled mixing bowl until stiff.
  9. Spread the whipped cream over the layered dessert.
  10. Sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  12. To serve, spoon into dessert dishes.
