Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cake
  • 1 c. ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 or 3 large bananas
  • lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries or raspberries or blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cut the pound cake horizontally into three layers.
  2. Set the cake layers aside.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese with sifted powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Thinly slice bananas and toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  5. Layer the cake with ricotta mixture and sliced fruit as desired.
  6. Repeat layering, finishing with fruit on top.
  7. Chill before serving for best flavor and texture.
