Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 5 slices crumbled bread
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, crumbled bread slices, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Beat eggs in a separate bowl, add milk, then thoroughly mix with the meat mixture.
  3. Melt Crisco in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Drop teaspoonfuls of the meat mixture into the skillet and brown on all sides.
  5. Place browned meatballs in a lightly buttered baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, blend one can of mushroom soup with 3/4 cup water.
  7. Pour the mushroom mixture over the meatballs.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
