Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. fish fillets
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup coarsely ground almonds
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish fillets into 4-inch portions.
  2. Season the fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the coarsely ground almonds with cayenne pepper.
  4. In a bowl, beat the egg and water together.
  5. Dip each fillet into the egg mixture, then roll in the almond and cayenne mixture.
  6. Fry the coated fillets in butter in a skillet until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side, or microwave the fillets for 5 minutes with the nut mixture sprinkled over them.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges.
