Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup Wesson oil
  • 2 apples, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 4 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar, cold water, raisins, Wesson oil, apples, salt, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cocoa together for 4 minutes.
  2. Cool the mixture and then mix well with flour, soda, walnuts, and candied fruit cake mix.
