Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and oil together.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Add flour and milk alternately in two additions, beginning and ending with flour.
  4. Add vanilla, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, cooked prunes, and prune juice. Mix well.
  5. Prepare a Bundt pan and pour the batter into it.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely, then ice with your favorite chocolate frosting.
