- In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, oleo, and salt. Remove from heat and add walnuts and vanilla.
- Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, blend oleo and brown sugar until well mixed. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, blending thoroughly.
- Press two-thirds of the dough into a greased 10 x 15-inch pan.
- Spread the chocolate filling over the pressed dough.
- Crumble the remaining one-third of the dough over the chocolate filling.
- Sprinkle nuts over the top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until lightly browned.
