Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 3 c. sliced celery
  • 1 lb. mushrooms, chopped
  • liver, chopped (optional)
  • 4 c. bread cubes
  • 2 c. apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. sage

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet.
  2. Saute chopped onion and sliced celery until tender.
  3. Brown chopped liver and chopped mushrooms in the skillet.
  4. Toast bread cubes in the skillet until lightly browned.
  5. Mix all cooked ingredients and bread cubes in a bowl.
  6. Add peeled and chopped apples and season with sage and other seasonings.
