Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 32 oz. jar thick spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef; drain off excess fat.
  2. Add spaghetti sauce and water; simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour 1 cup of sauce on the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  5. Layer 3 pieces of uncooked lasagne over the sauce.
  6. Cover with about 1 1/2 cups of sauce.
  7. Spread half of the cheese filling over the sauce.
  8. Repeat layers of lasagne, sauce, and cheese filling.
  9. Top with a layer of lasagne and remaining sauce.
  10. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F for 60 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  12. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
