Ingredients

  • 2 stalks celery
  • 4 large onions
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 gal. sweet milk
  • 1 large loaf bread
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • salt to taste
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Put butter in a skillet and melt, then cook chopped celery and onions until slightly brown.
  2. Add ground beef and ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. While cooking or beforehand, toast the bread slices and soak them in nearly boiling milk.
  4. Pour the milk over the broken bread pieces and let stand for 30 minutes.
  5. Combine all ingredients together and serve.
