Ingredients

  • 16 oz sliced pears
  • 2 Tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 Tbsp minced ginger root
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lb lean beef steak
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 16 oz green beans
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Drain the sliced pears, reserving the syrup.
  2. Combine the reserved syrup, white wine vinegar, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic. Marinate the beef in this mixture for 30 minutes or more.
  3. Thoroughly drain the marinated beef, reserving the marinade.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the drained beef and cook until browned.
  6. Add sliced carrots and cook until tender.
  7. Add drained green beans and cooked rice; stir to combine and heat through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished as desired.
