Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 lb. beef
  • 1 1/4 lb. onions
  • 1/4 lb. bacon
  • 1 tsp. tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 c. broth or water
  • 4 Tbsp. whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into cubes.
  2. Cut the onions and bacon into cubes.
  3. Heat the bacon until translucent, not brown.
  4. Add the beef and brown in two to three portions.
  5. Add the onions and cook until well blended and soft.
  6. Add tomato paste, paprika, salt, pepper, and cumin to the meat mixture.
  7. Stir well to combine.
  8. Add the broth or water to the mixture.
  9. Cover the pot tightly and simmer on low heat for about 1 1/2 hours.
