Ingredients

  • 3 lb. roast beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 ribs celery
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Slowly brown the roast beef on all sides in a pan.
  2. Remove the browned roast from the pan, leaving enough fat to make a gravy.
  3. Add the onion, celery, parsley, catsup, bay leaf, and cloves to the pan.
  4. Place the roast back into the pan with the ingredients.
  5. Cook slowly until the roast is tender.
