German Style Spaghetti combines savory knockwurst, creamy cheese, and tangy mustard in a hearty baked pasta dish perfect for quick family dinners and comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced onion
  • 1 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 pound knockwurst, cut into 5 pieces each
  • 11 oz. can beer
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti until barely done, then drain.
  2. Heat butter or margarine in a large skillet.
  3. Add sliced onion and knockwurst pieces; sauté for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in condensed Cheddar cheese soup, beer, sour cream, horseradish, mustard, and caraway seed.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Place half of the cooked spaghetti in a greased 3-quart casserole dish.
  8. Spoon half of the knockwurst and soup mixture over the spaghetti.
  9. Repeat with remaining spaghetti and mixture.
  10. Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
