Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 potatoes, scrubbed
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups cubed beef Hillshire Farm sausage or Eckrich smoked sausage
  • 1 (7 oz.) can sauerkraut
  • 1/3 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into thumb-sized pieces.
  2. Add chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
  3. Brown the mixture in a small amount of oil for 25 minutes until tender.
  4. Add cubed sausage to the pan; heat and stir occasionally.
  5. Drain sauerkraut and spread it on top of the sausage and potatoes.
  6. Do not stir after adding the sauerkraut.
  7. Cover and heat until everything is hot and flavors meld.
