Ingredients

  • 6 carrots, peeled and sliced crosswise
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. In a 2-quart casserole, cook the sliced carrots in water on high for 9 to 10 minutes, stirring twice. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cover the casserole and set aside.
  3. Melt the butter on high for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, and mustard.
  5. Pour the butter mixture over the drained carrots and cover.
  6. Heat on high for 2 minutes until heated through.
