Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter; gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating well.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and grated orange rind; mix well.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with 3/4 cup orange juice, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.
  4. Stir in chopped pecans.
