Golden Turkey Lasagna combines tender turkey, creamy mushroom sauce, and melted Cheddar cheese layered with pasta for a hearty, flavorful meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oleo
  • 4 ounces canned mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup pimento (optional)
  • 10 ounces can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 8 ounces cooked lasagna noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups small curd cottage cheese
  • 3 cups cooked turkey
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute onion and green pepper in melted oleo.
  2. Stir in mushrooms, pimento, soup, milk, and basil.
  3. Heat the sauce mixture until hot.
  4. Arrange half of the cooked lasagna noodles in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
  5. Layer half of the sauce, cottage cheese, cooked turkey, and shredded Cheddar cheese over the noodles.
  6. Repeat the layering with remaining noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, turkey, and Cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
