Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. margarine or butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.
  2. Beat 2 minutes.
  3. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Mix well; stir in flavoring and nuts.
  4. Bake at 325° for 45 to 50 minutes in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch or 8-inch pan.
