Ingredients

  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb. green beans (fresh and snipped)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt

Instructions

  1. Put water on to boil in a large pan.
  2. Cook the bacon slices until barely cooked, then drain the fat.
  3. Add prepared green beans to the pan with bacon and put a lid on. Steam for approximately 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add boiling water and remaining ingredients to the pan.
  5. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Enjoy!
