Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cubes margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1 cup coconut
  • chopped nuts (amount desired)

Instructions

  1. Combine margarine, sugar, milk, and beaten egg in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Add crushed graham crackers, coconut, and chopped nuts to the cooled mixture.
  3. Place a layer of whole graham crackers on a 10 x 14-inch cookie sheet.
  4. Spread some of the prepared filling over the crackers.
  5. Add another layer of whole graham crackers on top of the filling.
  6. Spread a thin layer of powdered sugar frosting over the top layer of crackers.
