Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Grape-Nuts
  • 2 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Soak cereal in warm milk for 10 minutes.
  2. Beat eggs with a fork; add sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  3. Add egg mixture to the milk and cereal; stir well.
  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg on top.
  5. Bake in a casserole dish set in a pan of hot water.
  6. Stir twice during the first 20 minutes of baking.
