Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Grape-Nuts cereal
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix Grape-Nuts cereal with melted butter, then blend into well beaten eggs.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 1-quart pan.
  4. Place this pan in another pan filled with an inch of water to create a water bath.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  6. Stir the pudding thoroughly.
  7. Bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
