Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening (Crisco)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups pecans

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs; add sugar and shortening.
  2. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately and beat with electric beater.
  3. Add pecans; pour batter into a greased tube pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
