Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 oz. pkg. Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing mix
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans green beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated Velveeta cheese
  • dash of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine melted butter with the herb stuffing mix.
  2. Spread half of the crumb mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  3. Saute chopped onion in 1 tablespoon of butter until limp.
  4. Mix the sautéed onion with drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and grated Velveeta cheese.
  5. Spread the bean mixture over the crumb layer in the casserole.
  6. Top with the remaining stuffing crumbs.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
