Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup green beans, cut at an angle into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 small onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 small green chilies, coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium potato, cubed into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon green chili paste
  • Pinch turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon ajwain seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with salt, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and ajwain seeds.
  2. In a pot, heat some oil and braise green beans with the onions, green chilies, and potatoes for a few minutes.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and sauté until lightly browned.
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup water, cover, and cook over low heat until the chicken is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. When the chicken is almost done, add the 2 tablespoons chopped onion and cook for a few more minutes.
