Juicy chicken breasts glazed in a tangy orange sauce with mandarin oranges, perfect for a flavorful, family-friendly Chinese-inspired meal with bright citrus notes.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 small can mandarin oranges
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Pre-mix flour, cinnamon, and parsley in a small container.
  2. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt butter in a frying pan; add chicken and brown on both sides.
  4. Remove chicken from the pan.
  5. Add pre-mixed ingredients to the frying pan, along with the garlic. Stir chicken in slowly.
  6. Add orange juice and stir well; bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to medium; cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
  8. Add mandarin oranges and simmer for 10 minutes more.
