Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin steak into serving pieces and score on both sides.
  2. Place the meat in a shallow pan.
  3. Mix soy sauce, chopped green onions, minced garlic, sugar, sesame oil, dry sherry, and pepper to make the marinade.
  4. Pour the marinade over the beef and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  5. Turn the meat once and drain excess marinade.
  6. Place the meat over medium coals and grill until desired doneness, approximately 15 minutes for medium.
  7. Garnish with additional chopped green onion if desired.
