- Place the fish fillet or bone-in fish in a flat or broiler pan.
- Baste the fish completely with lemon juice and set aside for approximately 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle fresh thyme generously over the fish, then add paprika, salt, and pepper or seasoned salt to taste.
- Top the fish with sliced, skinned tomatoes and thinly sliced onion, and place dabs of margarine on top.
- Put the pan in the broiler; do not turn the fish during cooking.
- Broil until the fish is golden brown or reaches the desired color, brushing or basting with fish juices periodically.
- Add a tiny bit of water to the pan to keep moist.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
