Ingredients

  • 8 canned peach halves, drained
  • 1/4 cup Bacardi dark rum
  • 2 fully cooked ham steaks (1-inch thick)
  • whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Sprinkle peaches with 1 tablespoon of rum and let stand.
  3. Slash fat around the ham and stud with cloves.
  4. Broil the ham for 5 minutes on one side.
  5. Meanwhile, combine remaining rum with brown sugar and dry mustard to make the glaze.
  6. Turn the ham and broil for 3 minutes.
  7. Arrange peaches around the ham on the serving dish.
  8. Spread the glaze mixture over the ham and peaches.
  9. Broil for an additional 1 to 2 minutes or until just glazed.
