Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, diced ham
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Use a 2-quart greased casserole dish. Combine diced ham, cooked rice, green peas, 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Spoon into the casserole dish.
  3. Add the remaining cheese to the whipped heavy cream and mix well.
  4. Spread the cheesy whipped cream mixture over the rice and ham mixture in the casserole dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
