Hamburger Cassoulet
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. onion flakes ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
- 1/4 tsp. basil ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 4 tsp. beef bouillon ⓘ
- 4 c. water ⓘ
- 1 c. canned tomatoes, chopped ⓘ
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled ⓘ
- 5 Tbsp. rice ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. barley ⓘ
- flour ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix first 6 ingredients, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pepper and egg. Shape into 32 tiny balls.
- Dredge with flour.
- Bring bouillon, water, tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of salt and bay leaf to boil in pot. Add meat balls and barley.
- Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
- Add rice during last 15 minutes.
