A hearty one-pan dish featuring ground beef topped with sliced potatoes, carrots, onions, and cabbage, baked with a creamy mushroom flavor for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • cabbage
  • margarine
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Place ground beef in a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish and pat down to cover the bottom.
  2. Sprinkle the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Slice potatoes thin and layer them on top of the beef.
  4. Slice carrots and add them on top of the potatoes.
  5. Slice onion and layer it over the carrots.
  6. Add shredded cabbage over the onion layer.
  7. Place pats of margarine over the cabbage and vegetable layers.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake.
  9. Optionally, add a can of cream of mushroom soup for extra flavor.
