Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 to 3 c. mashed pumpkin
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and oil.
  2. Add the eggs, mashed pumpkin, nuts and raisins.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in the spices.
  4. Bake in greased loaf pans at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until brown and done in the middle.
  5. Makes 2 loaves.
