Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 pound brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the margarine.
  2. Beat the eggs until well combined.
  3. Add sugar, vanilla, self-rising flour, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips to the eggs and mix well.
  4. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan and spread the batter evenly in the pan. (The batter will be thick.)
  5. Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
  6. Do not overbake.
  7. Optionally, coconut may be added to the batter.
