Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked fish, flaked or in small pieces
  • 1 cup onion dip (without sour cream is best)
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups milk

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and salt until smooth to make white sauce.
  2. Gradually add milk, pepper, and chopped green onion to the sauce.
  3. Heat until the sauce is bubbling and starting to thicken, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add onion dip and stir until well combined.
  5. Fold in the cooked fish pieces.
  6. Simmer until the fish is warmed through.
  7. Adjust with more milk if needed to thin the bisque.
  8. Serve over rice, wide noodles, or biscuits.
